Proactive-art

From the factory, all compressor manufacturers mandate an 8000hr service schedule to be able to comply with 5 year warranties.

We suggest to our customers to have an 8000hr service kit, in stock, for each compressor. This gives us the flexibility to cover any untimely repairs at any time of the day, whether during the work day or after hours. Anytime the parts are taken from the kit to replace parts on the compressor, they can be replenished in a timely manner.

What is proactive maintenance?

This idea refers to servicing compressors in a timely fashion and being “proactive” in our maintenance schedules. The standard service schedule for compressors are every three months, or four times a year. If we follow this standard, you’ll be able to maximize the lifespan of your system, while minimizing downtime.

What does one look for in proactive maintenance? The low priority or secondary issues would include: oil leaks, load structure, environmental issues, temperature, service requirements and controls. The more pressing or primary issues would be vibration, power consumption, and unusual noises pointing to major issues. In our experience, this has lead to airend failure or seizures causing motor breakdown damaging electrical controls ending up in major overhaul.

All these problems can all be avoided by doing PROACTIVE MAINTENANCE!
